This document issued by a provincial governor and confers the right to legal residence in Poland to foreigners who are able to meet certain requirements.
An EU long-term residence permit may be issued to foreigners who have been residing in Poland legally and permanently for at least five years. Besides, they also need to meet certain requirements regarding, for example, a reliable source of income, health insurance, clean criminal record, or absence of negative administrative decisions.
A foreigner who applies for the EU long-term residence permit should be able to produce documents that prove the fulfilment of the aforesaid requirements and should file the relevant application. If the governor’s decision is positive, the permit is issued for an indefinite time.
